FlowT Privacy Policy

FlowT is a web browser for Android and iOS (iPhone and iPad) that floats videos from web pages into small players. This policy explains what information FlowT handles. In short: FlowT has no accounts and no analytics. It offers optional rewarded ads (only when you tap to watch one) and an optional subscription, FlowT Pro, which removes them. We do not sell your personal information.
What stays on your phone
These are saved only on your device and are never sent to us:
- Your bookmarks (their names and web addresses).
- Small app settings, such as whether you have seen the first-run guide and how much multi-player time you have left.
FlowT does not keep cookies, logins, history or cache between sessions: its browser tabs run in private mode. Uninstalling FlowT removes everything it saved.
Websites you visit
When you open a page, your phone connects directly to that website, like any browser. That website (and any advertising or video services it uses) can see your IP address and what you do on its pages, and handles that information under its own privacy policy. FlowT does not see, collect or send your browsing to us. FlowT changes how a page's video is displayed on your screen, but does not copy, record or save the video.
Crash and error reports
To find and fix bugs, FlowT sends error reports to Sentry, our error-reporting service, when the app crashes or hits an error. A report contains:
- the error message and technical details of where it happened in the app's code;
- your device's model and operating system version (Android or iOS), and the FlowT version;
- a random identifier that the reporting tool may generate for your installation (it is not linked to you).
Reports do not include the pages you visit, your bookmarks, your name, your email address, or the app's log messages, and we configure the service not to store IP addresses. Reports are used only to fix bugs.
Ads (AppLovin)
FlowT is free to use with one floating video. To unlock more multi-player time without paying, you can choose to watch a short rewarded ad. Ads are served through AppLovin's MAX platform. An ad is requested only when you are close to using up your multi-player time or have the upgrade screen open, and it is shown only when you tap Watch a short ad. Never on launch, and never while you are watching a video in FlowT. FlowT Pro removes ads.
When an ad is requested, AppLovin and the advertising partners it works with may collect and use your device's advertising ID (the Android advertising ID, or the advertising identifier on iPhone and iPad), IP address (and so your approximate location), device and app information, and how you interact with the ad, to show, measure and personalize ads, under AppLovin's privacy policy and theirs. In the European Economic Area and the United Kingdom, FlowT shows a consent message first and only requests ads as you choose there. On iPhone and iPad, FlowT only uses the advertising identifier if you allow it when Apple's tracking prompt asks. You can reset your advertising ID or turn off ad personalization in your device's settings (Android: Settings > Privacy > Ads; iPhone and iPad: Settings > Privacy & Security > Tracking, and Apple Advertising). FlowT asks for family-safe ads and is not directed to children.
Purchases (FlowT Pro)
FlowT Pro is a subscription, monthly or yearly, bought through Google Play on Android or the App Store on iPhone and iPad. Google or Apple handles the payment; FlowT never sees your card or payment details. To know whether Pro is active, FlowT uses RevenueCat, which receives an anonymous app user ID and your purchase and subscription status (not your name or email), under its privacy policy. You can cancel any time: in Google Play > Subscriptions on Android, or in Settings > your name > Subscriptions on iPhone and iPad.
App updates
When FlowT starts, it checks for updates to its own code from Expo's update service. Like any internet request, this reveals your IP address and basic device and app version information to Expo, which handles it under its privacy policy. Nothing about your browsing is included.

Permissions
FlowT asks for internet access, the store's standard permission for purchases, and access to the advertising ID (used only for ads; on iPhone and iPad through Apple's tracking prompt). On both Android and iOS it does not use your precise location, contacts, camera, microphone, photos or files.
Children
FlowT is a general-purpose browser for adults and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Your choices
You can delete a bookmark in the app at any time, or clear everything by uninstalling FlowT. You can choose not to watch ads (the free single player and FlowT Pro don't need them), change ad settings in your phone's settings, and cancel FlowT Pro in Google Play. Changes to this policy
If we change this policy, we will update the date at the top. Material changes will also be noted in the app's update notes.
